How do you feel about destroying what must be destroyed in your life?
Psychic clutter, spiritual scar tissue, lies that we call truths to avoid painful change, apathy that obstructs our fulfillment, despair that eclipses faith, patterns of abuse and neglect… there’s always something to burn. And we better get to it if we want the life we want. As Joseph Campbell said: Destruction first, then creation.
You know — right this very minute — what’s not working in your life. You don’t have to think about it for too long. The question is: How do you feel about destroying what must be destroyed in your life?
Two things were cosmically coinciding for me: My deeper study of the divine feminine and goddess mythology, and the need for some destruction in my life — destruction so that I could create my deepest desires.
Enter — for you and for me: The Goddess Kali. Kali is the Goddess of Transformation, Destruction and Transcendence. As Sally Kempton, the luminous author of Awakening Shakti, describes her: “More than any other goddess, Kali has the power to free you from what keeps you stuck… She appears fearsome to those who fear letting go of their veils, but when we’re open to her power, she is the mother, the teacher, the Lover.”
Destroy untruths for the sake of love and liberation.
Are you up for it?
How do you feel about destroying what must be destroyed in your life?
With Fierce Love,
