It’s book launch day and that means I’m elated, and Team D is high on launch fumes. Book-birthing is a lonnnng process. Idea to pub week takes a few years, tears, and beers (couldn’t resist the alliteration.) By the time this day arrives you’re delirious with gratitude and anticipation.
Why positive thinking might be leading us in the wrong direction.
Deep positivity. If there could be a slogan for manifestation theory, this would be it: Energy follows thought. Energy follows thought. Energy follows thought. And by the way…energy follows thought.

It’s always a good time to trust yourself. It used to be that any given week I’d get a “reading” of some kind—channeling, angels, psychics. Always looking for a sign.

It’s complex. It’s confusing. It’s deeply particular. It’s the through-line of most mystical teachings: Forgiveness. I’m a “Forgiveness Aspirant.” I’m just as good at holding a grudge as I am at letting it go, but for the most part, I want to be as gracious as possible, and I really do believe that forgiveness is the primary Light source of an illumined existence.
Your devotion. Like, real devotion.
Devotion to Truth seeking goes something like this: You’re going to risk being disliked (actually, it’s not a risk, it’s inevitable). At some point you will be very misunderstood—and you won’t know how much that stings until it happens.
If you’re being your whole, real, true, GENUINE, “authentic” self…you are going to be a walking, talking, tweeting, PARADOX. This is a good thing. Wisdom knows that there is always an exception to the rule, that there is a time and place, and that a case-by-case approach is divine protocol.
It only gets more painful. But it’s good news.
I thought that the ability to feel more deeply would give me access to solace, that special area reserved for The Feelers. But as it turns out, I just get more adept at crying and then carrying on. Cry. Crusade. Repeat. You know? I know you know. The Feelers. The Connecteds. They always know.
