Sold out. Full out. Hearts full. NYC + Toronto FIRE STARTER launch parties. Two of the best nights of my life.

Some kids dreamed of accepting The Academy Award. I dreamed of book launch parties.

I knew we had about 500 people coming in NYC. But I didn’t really get it until I peeked out of the club door and…there was a line up around the block. So I grabbed some drink tickets, got handy with the hugs, and we flowed on to the dance floor.

In both NYC and Toronto I could have cried 900 times…deep friends, first clients, old bosses, long-time readers, eager book buyers, gorgeous women, hot dudes. Kisses, Corona, candle light, and DJ June spinning tunes.

But mostly… the love. In Toronto the bartender said to me, “Your people are the best kind of people!” Well, YA! In NYC, people were so thrilled to meet each other. Things happened. Things I can’t write about. Things other people can write about if they dare.

Infinite thanks to my soul sisters: Gabrielle Bernstein, Marie Forleo and Kris Carr. Deepest deep love. NYC would not have happened without the radiantly responsible Rachael Maddox, Dave Ursillo, and Anne Moller. My Toronto angel was the one and only Tanya Geisler, with Annika Martins and the crew from Random House in the wings. It was all captured on film by Jen Lemen and Janine Therese.

And I could write a tome dedicated souly solely to Angie Wheeler. Nothing happens without her. Angie is my archangel of all. She orchestrates and improves my shizzle and buoys me at every turn with things like, “You get some sleep, I’ve got it handled.” Or “I did it yesterday.” And “We’re going to do it this way.” If I get a new tattoo, it might say Angie Forever.

There are more parties to come. For starters…
